Somewhere in the Heart of Rome the "heat" was over 36 degrees Celsius. For those of you who need a little help converting that to Fahrenheit......36 x 2 = 72 (+30) = 102 frickin degrees!!!!
Today we visited the Roman Colosseum in the morning.....had a quick lunch....and then took off for St. Peter's Basilica, Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain in the afternoon!
Doesn't this look like a picture out of a book?
After waiting in a long line for tickets...we finally got in to explore!
The Leonard's posing for a quick pic in the galley of the Colosseum....
Praying for some cooler weather in Vatican City.....
Tossed a $euro$ into the Trevi Fountain for good luck!
And, saw half of the Pantheon. Under restoration. We weren't able to go inside.
