We arrived at the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam yesterday.....and (hard to believe) Jenesa wasted no time spending our Euro cash on Starbucks coffee! I told her that was her only souvenir for the day, so enjoy it!
Our hotel was an hour drive from the airport....(http://www.vennendal.nl/)
We quickly visited a small Dutch village not far from the hotel....and experimented with a raw fish delicacy (herron) suggested to us by our guide! Needless to say....raw fish and onions = yuck!!! We immediately had to wash it down at the local pub. The great part about that was.....EVERYBODY in the Netherlands was celebrating their appearance in the soccer World Cup.....and it seemed they were all at the local pub dressed in their team color (bright ORANGE!) We got lots of pictures and a little woozy after that place!
We suffered through a 2 hour dinner.....but they fed us salmon and "bier" for dinner....and the traditional french fries with mayonaise!!! It was also a bit tough to sleep during the first night.....but a big day in Amsterdam is ahead. Giddy up!!!

that is the point to travel so you can experience all the cultures and what they eat on a daily bases. drink up, i know it is good but it is strong too. be careful during your driving after consumption, we still have riding to do back here in the states where it is hot as hell. i went to the pub on top of the mountain, it was awesome. i loved the ride and the bike did a good job stretching its legs on that road trip. have fun and be safe. love BIGDADDY

I think the picture in the upper right hand corner needs to be replaced with something from Europe maybe a picture of our fair lady's steeple from France. Enjoy your time.
