18, 17, 16, 15, 14 more days until we depart for our summer vacation! We can't wait to begin our 23-day tour of Europe featuring Holland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, and England. It didn't take us long to book this trip. After coming back from Hawaii last summer, we immediately started looking ahead at some options for our next big trip. Alaska? Ireland? Cancun? Africa? Peru?
***We actually wound up booking a mini-trip to Walt Disney World over Valentine's Day a few months ago.....only to experience one of the biggest snowstorms the east coast has ever seen!!! Needless to say, our flight (and entire trip) was canceled and we were stuck at home in 4 feet of disappointment***
Luckily, there's no snow in the forecast as of today (June 4)! So, we're pretty confident this trip is actually gonna happen! At least we hope so....because we spent a lot of money on new luggage (and what the heck am I going do with the $30 international electrical converter kit I bought?).

Just checked out all your pics on photostream. You have really been to a lot of places and taken many memorable pics. I know you are anxious to get started (can't say as I blame you). Don't worry about Sampson - he's in good hands. You two have a wonderful, safe trip. Looking forward to seeing more pics when you return. Gloria
Don't know if you got the posting I just wrote - if not, just want to say love the pics & quotes. Sampson is doing great. I let him out all AM & most of the afternoon since it's been so nice. I didn't want to make him stay indoors any more than necessary. He is very happy to see me and some days Earl even goes w/me. Other times Earl visits on his own. So don't worry about Sampson - he's in good hands. If he misses you I can't tell. We had a delivery 2 days ago (yummy! - thank you so much). I really enjoy all your quotes & sites your visited. Can't wait to find out how much the Paris Harley T-shirt cost. It's been hot (high 90's) this week so I only let Sampson out a short time early in the AM. I take over my hot tea, cereal & newspaper to amuse myself while Sampson & Earl do this visiting. I visit Sampson in the early evening since it's too hot for him to be out. He really is a good cat. He rolls on his side & lets me pet him. He rubs up against every piece of furniture, refrigerator, washer/dryer, whatever he passes on his way to/from the laundry room to patio. It's late & I must get up early so I'll sign off for now. Hope you get to read this before you get back home. Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed taking care of Sampson, while you were on your European Vacation! He is a very good, well behaved furry critter. He sometimes greets me in the laundry room or other times I have to call for him (usually under your bed sleeping) to come see me. It has been really hot this week (high 90s most of the time) so I put a bunch of ice cubes in Sampson's water dish so he had some cool water to drink. I went to visit him after I got off work at the Galleria this evening. He, of course, was happy to see me because I gave him more food. I'll take him out again tomorrow (only about an hour) in the AM, water your plants, give him more food, and more lovies before heading back across the street. I'll probably check on him in the afternoon before you return home. Hope you have a safe, restful flight. Gloria
